Excellent traffic access

Saga Prefecture, located in the northwestern part of Kyushu, stands at the cross-point of expressways and railroads in the Kyushu region, and has great advantages in terms of access. Functions of airport and ports in the Prefecture enable business launches looking ahead to extending into Asia.

"Tosu Junction", a crossroads of Kyushu Expressway that runs from north to south through Kyushu, and Nagasaki/Oita Expressway that runs from east to west, is located in Saga, enabling access to Fukuoka, Nagasaki, and Kumamoto Prefecture within one hour, and access across the Kyushu region and to the Chugoku region within three hours.
Nishi-Kyushu Expressway is currently under construction to connect the northwestern part of Saga Prefecture and Fukuoka City, increasing expectations for further traffic convenience.

It takes 35 minutes from Saga Station to Hakata Station by limited express train. In addition, with the opening of the Kagoshima route of the Kyushu Shinkansen in March 2011, travel times to major cities in Honshu (the main island of Japan) as well as Kyushu have been greatly reduced. Furthermore, the opening of the West Kyushu route in the near future will make the trip to the western part of Kyushu easier.
Tosu Freight Terminal, a hub of railway transportation in Kyushu, can satisfy various logistics needs, as it is located close to Tosu Junction and handles large containers.

* Travel time for the Shinkansen is based on the use of direct service operations on Sanyo-Kyushu Shinkansen "Sakura".

Shin-Tosu Station

Shin-Tosu Station

All services of the Sanyo-Kyushu Shinkansen "Sakura" stop at Shin-Tosu Station, which makes access to various places outside and inside Kyushu easy. Changing to a rental car at Shin-Tosu Station, it takes only 10 minutes to reach Tosu Junction, allowing easy access to the rest of Kyushu.
Budget car parking is available for 300 yen for 24 hours' use (approx. 600 car parks are available), and is very popular.

Kyushu-Saga International Airport, located in the inner part of the Sea of Ariake, is located approx. 22 minutes from downtown Saga City by car, having excellent access from the southwestern part of Fukuoka Prefecture.
